A promotional film for Startupbootcamp’s year ahead, built around the three words that sum up what they stand for: Create. Innovate. Disrupt.

I conceived, designed and produced it to give first looks at the upcoming Demo Days, show what each event would feel like, and capture their mission of inspiring and propelling forward-thinking ideas.

A teaser to build excitement for the Sustainable FinTech Demo Day later in the year.

It features title sequences and the logos of the companies we collaborated with, with oceans, trees and rising financial data standing for sustainable growth.

An episode of The Fabric of History: Fashion’s Untold Stories, a series presented by PGR about the clothes that shaped the modern world.

This episode tells the story of the sneaker.

My role: camera operator on the Paul G Roberts sections, plus editing, colour grading and sound.

The history of five iconic Australian brands: RM Williams, Akubra, Driza-Bone, Blundstone and Country Road, from rugged workwear to cultural symbols.

The film looks at their recent acquisition by billionaires Andrew and Nicola Forrest and Gina Rinehart, and asks whether they will stay national treasures or follow luxury labels like Gucci and Hermès. Set against the Australian outback, it traces their legacy and future in fashion and identity.

André Broderick is a photographer, filmmaker and graphic designer based in Bondi, Sydney, Australia, making promo films for startups and brands.

His photography spans landscapes, travel and street work across four continents, from Sydney's coastline and the outback to Cape Town, Greece, Wales and Dubai. As a filmmaker, he has produced promotional videos for startup accelerator Startupbootcamp, and worked on the documentaries Pioneer Brands, on the history of iconic Australian labels, and Sole Revolution, on the story of the sneaker, filming the Paul G Roberts sections and handling the editing, colour grading and sound.

Alongside film and photography, André works in animation and graphic design, helping brands tell their story visually.
